Peak Lupe 2008 Series Measuring Microscope is a small, lightweight, and portable microscope designed to go beyond the capabilities of the most powerful measuring loupes (30x), while remaining more compact than other Peak Lupe microscopes, such as the 2034 series. Available with magnification factors of 25, 50, 75, and 100x. This microscope is practical for measuring the thickness, height, or depth of objects with varying levels.

Soft focusing is achieved by rotating the microscope housing. The eyepiece can also be focused against the scale, which, unlike in the 2034 series, is not installed in the eyepiece. The measuring scale is installed separately in a small recess above the focusing ring. The upper half of the tube can be unscrewed for easy replacement of the measuring scale. The scale can also be rotated inside the microscope, eliminating the need to switch it off during use.

Two additional scales are included with metric or inch graduations (see related products). These allow for simple length measurements as well as determining angles. No interchangeable eyepieces are available for the 2008 Measuring Microscope.

Depth measurements with an accuracy of 0.1 mm are obtained by using the scale engraved on the focusing ring together with the needle on the microscope housing. Simply focus on different levels of an object and read the difference on this scale.

A small, handy carrying case prevents damage to the precision instrument, which weighs only 82 grams. The clear acrylic base and eyecup can be ordered as spare parts.

An eight-megapixel miniature USB camera with a built-in lens and autofocus can be ordered and easily mounted on the eyepiece using an adapter. This allows images to be displayed and saved on a laptop or PC, either using the original camera driver (English only) or with the metric BE software (24 languages). The images from this compact industrial-quality camera are highly impressive.
