The advantage of the Peak Lupe 2054-EIM measuring microscope compared to the standard 2054 series is that the image of the object to be measured is erect. An additional prism reverses the light beam inside the microscope. This makes it easier to inspect the object. Peak Lupe 2054-EIM series microscopes are particularly suitable for paint inspection in the automotive industry and graphic production. Quick focusing with the knurled wheel makes it easy to work with. A robust aluminum base guarantees stability even for the standard version, but if desired, an acrylic base is available to improve visibility of the object being inspected.

Four types of lenses are available: 2x, 4x, 6x, and 10x. The eyepiece has a magnification factor of 10x, and the focal plane is equipped with a scale. Contamination of the scale with dust is not possible thanks to the Huygens design with the focal plane within the lens system. The lens closest to the eyepiece can be moved by turning the setting ring, allowing the scale to be adjusted to match the eye’s refraction. The eyepieces associated with each magnification factor (objective lens) can be replaced by simply pulling them out and replacing them with a new one.

Side lighting allows measurements to be performed on dark surfaces or in dark rooms. Two 1.5-volt AA batteries are required for operation (not included in delivery). The microscope is delivered in a padded carrying case that offers safe transport and has space for an additional four lenses as accessories.

An eight-megapixel miniature USB camera with a built-in lens and autofocus function can be ordered and easily mounted on the eyepiece using an adapter. This allows images to be displayed and saved on a laptop or PC either with the original camera drivers (English only) or with the metric BE software (24 languages). The images from this compact industrial-quality camera are very impressive.
