The classic instrument for length measurement
These precision glass measuring rules feature graduations and numerals made of hard chrome, applied via vapor deposition. A scale is available in either metric or inch units. A white strip serves as a background on one side of the numerals to allow for easy reading. The chrome scales are equipped with two anodized handles on the sides for safe handling.
The precision magnifier (type Peak Lupe 2016 with a 15x magnification factor and a 12 millimeter field of view), in combination with the two lighting options, ensures simple, error-free reading of the scale. The smallest increment on the inch scale is 0.005″. The minimum step on the metric scale is 0.1 millimeter.
These valuable precision glass measuring rules are delivered in a sturdy wooden case to protect them from damage and are available in lengths of 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1400, 1600, and 2000 mm. Special lengths can be manufactured upon request. These glass measuring rules have the advantage that their expansion is minimal when heated. Temperature variations therefore have hardly any impact on precision measurements.
A further increase in reading accuracy is possible with the chrome microscale, see product type CS Micro. With a customized analog or digital dial indicator, you can measure the distance between one-tenth of a graduation. This enables exact measurements down to hundredths of a millimeter.

The graduations and numerals are vapor-deposited with hard chrome on glass rods, offering high resolution and absolute scratch resistance. The graduations have a thickness of 0.010 mm
