AC Instruments EMF300 Microwave Oven Leakage Detector.
Easy-to-use, compact micro-leakage detector for measuring high-frequency radiation emitted from household and commercial microwave ovens.
Pocket-sized microwave oven leakage detector helps ensure safety around microwave ovens
Microwave ovens are found everywhere – in homes, workplaces, convenience stores, dormitories, cafeterias, hotel rooms, restaurants, kitchens, the list goes on. These reliable ovens quickly heat and prepare food. While they are usually trouble-free, repeated use, especially in commercial or public environments, can accelerate wear that potentially compromises the oven’s ability to contain microwaves. There is cause for concern about excess microwave leakage from ovens if the hinges, locks, or seals are damaged. Sometimes such damage is not obvious and leakage can occur without the users’ knowledge. Many microwave testing devices are sold to consumers. Choose one you can trust. Use the AC Instruments EMF300 to safely and routinely measure oven leakage with greater accuracy to ensure safe operation.
The EMF300 is specifically designed for measuring high-frequency radiation levels emitted from both household and commercial microwave ovens, providing readings in the 0 to 1.999mW/cm2 measurement range. When values are abnormally high (>1mW/cm²), an alarm sounds and a status indicator is displayed. To capture high measurement values, the Peak hold function records peaks for reference. When the EMF300 microwave detector identifies radiation leaking out, it is often as a result of worn or broken parts in the microwave oven. Common issues include bent, worn, or improperly closed doors, cracks in hinges or seals, and dents or cracks in the door.
